Lenten Pilgrimage 2025: Ash Wednesday
The Cathedral Basilica of St. James
250 Cathedral Place, Brooklyn NY 11201
Take a pilgrimage to parishes throughout the Diocese of Brooklyn this Lenten season. Today, we celebrate the start of the pilgrimage at the Cathedral Basilica of St. James, with prayer, reflection, Mass, and receiving Ashes.
The entire pilgrimage will continue until April 16th. The pilgrimage invites people to visit a different parish each day, except Sundays, during Lent. This year, forty parishes are designated for specific days on the itinerary where people can visit different parishes to experience the church’s beauty and the community’s beauty.
At each stop, pilgrims can join local parishioners at Mass, or in Eucharistic Adoration, prayer, and reflection.
