As the Synod process continues, we are invited to participate in a virtual listening session in preparation of the 13th National Black Catholic Congress which will be held July 20-23, 2023 at the Gaylord National in National Harbor, Maryland. The NBCC gathers Black Catholics and those who minister to Black Catholics in the United States for a celebration of our faith and culture every five years. At the end of the Congress a list of pastoral priorities for Catholics of African descent is developed to be presented to the USCCB. This year each of us is afforded an opportunity to be heard by either attending the Congress or participating in the listening session.
