Holy Week Retreat in Williamsburg

During these sacred days, we will reflect on the *death and resurrection of Jesus*, the greatest sign of God’s love for us:
“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

In this *Jubilee year marking 800 years since the death of Saint Francis of Assisi, our retreat will also be inspired by **Franciscan spirituality*, helping us grow in love for Christ through prayer, talks, and moments of reflection.
Holy Week is the *heart of our faith* — a time filled with grace, hope, and renewal. Come deepen your relationship with the Lord and experience His transforming love ❤️
Holy Thursday
7:30 PM – Solemn Mass of the Lord’s Supper with the Washing of the Feet
8:30 to 11:00 PM – Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, “Watching at the Place of Repose”, with songs and prayers
Good Friday
10:00 AM – “Way of the Cross” Across the Brooklyn Bridge (with the Most Rev. Robert Brennan, Bishop of Brooklyn). Meet-up point: St. James Cathedral, 260 Cathedral Pl., Brooklyn NY 11201
3:00 PM – Liturgy of the Hours at the San Damiano Mission
3:45 – Talk: “A New Prayer That Springs Forth from the Wounds” (Father Jean Sebastian)
4:45 – Time of Prayer: “A New Love That Comes Forth from the Cross”
6:15 PM – Liturgical Celebration of the Passion of the Lord, presided over by the Most Rev. Bishop James Massa, Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn
Holy Saturday
9:30 AM – Morning Prayer (Liturgy of the Hours)
10:15 AM – Talk: “A New Light That Shines Forth from the Night”
11:30 AM – Time of Prayer: “A New Hope that Breaks Forth from Mary’s Heart”
7:30 PM – The Solemn Easter Vigil
Easter Sunday
10:30 AM – Alleluia Outreach: Joyfully bringing the message of the Risen Christ to the streets as we greet our neighbors and wish them a blessed and happy Easter.
12:15 PM – Easter Sunday Mass
1:15 – Short Procession with the Risen Christ in the Blessed Sacrament – Blessing at Shalom Park
2:15 PM – Festive Easter brunch at Shalom Park
